All in a Day's (not)Work

i had my first real day off in a long, long time. i hadn't realized how much the worlds of work and personal life had meshed into one until i spent a whole day not working. i guess when a day off feels like an off day that something is amiss. it's not that i don't take down time or breaks or anything like that. it's just that the reality of life in a village and on the coast is one of constantly being surrounded by work and ministry and mission. for the most part, i spent the day catching up on all the little random things in life that get forgotten in the rush of life and even spent some quality time away from the blackberry (actually for a good part of the day it was lost in a pile of clean laundry and i couldn't even hear it go off). i'm definitely grateful for the chance to tackle some laundry and reading and down time with the kitties and let the hustle and bustle of life go on (literally) all around me...
